International Enrolments

The Armidale School welcomes international students to share in our academic, cultural and sporting programs. At TAS everyone has the opportunity to explore, experience, and excel.

The main intake for International students in Semester 1 at the start of the school year in late January, or at the start of Semester 2 in July.

All international students who wish to apply for entry to TAS, will be required to sit an English language proficiency test with AEAS. Applicants are assessed individually based on their current school reports, in conjunction with the AEAS test results and a web based interview with the Head of School, Director of Studies and the Director of Boarding.

The school will notify the student if they can be accepted for Direct Entry or if they will be required to undertake an ELICOS Course prior to beginning mainstream studies at TAS. International students generally attend TAS as a boarding student.

International students are under the guardianship of their boarding Heads of House, who will ensure the provision of a safe and caring environment for them in which students can realise their full potential. Other staff members who support Heads of House in this role include the Director of Studies, Overseas Student Registrar, Director of Pastoral Care, School Counsellor, and School Chaplain.
